Menu Board design
Client: Lincoln Coffee House, Reading, UK
A menu board re-design project for a local coffee shop, Lincoln Coffee House, in Reading town. The main goal was to design a menu board for a small space, in which we discussed various paneling options before deciding on a four-panel board that would allow us to segregate the contents of the menu in a set (i.e hot drinks, bagels and cold drinks), making it easier for the customers to navigate through the board with specific sections. The project initially also consisted of designing an ‘A’ board that would go outside the coffee shop but was cancelled later to focus on the menu board instead.
This project provided a unique learning experience in regards with undertaking designing for large scale printing. It also offered me with an opportunity to research and understand different reading patterns that customers often use to navigate a menu board.
